Do you want to contribute to a school where all children and students have equal rights to a good education in a safe environment? The Swedish Schools Inspectorate is looking for a creative communicator with a focus on film, photography, web, and social media for the communications secretariat at the head office in Stockholm.

The Swedish Schools Inspectorate works with supervision and quality assessment of schools and evaluates applications for independent schools. The Inspectorate is regionally organized with departments in Gothenburg, Linköping, Lund, Stockholm, and Umeå. The agency's management and central support functions are located in Stockholm.

Communications Secretariat

The communications secretariat consists of ten people. We provide qualified communication support to management, managers, and employees, targeting both internal and external audiences. Our mission is to disseminate the Schools Inspectorate's reviews and decisions, clarify the agency's image, and provide and manage effective communication channels.

Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for digital broadcasts and meetings in event and training contexts, as well as for film and photography. You should be able to photograph and film yourself, but also set requirements for suppliers in the area. Your responsibilities will also include working with graphic design and communication via social media and the web together with others in the unit. Other tasks within the communications area will also occur.

We are looking for a person who:

  • acts independently and takes initiative,
  • has good collaboration skills, sound judgment, and a high level of service,
  • is results-oriented, meets set goals, and adheres to timelines,
  • is good at building trust and good relationships both internally and externally,
  • is curious about developments in digital communication.

Qualifications:

  • relevant education in the field of communication at the university level or equivalent experience deemed relevant by the Schools Inspectorate,
  • at least one year of experience in producing photography and film,
  • experience with broadcasting events in Teams and other relevant tools for digital meetings and experience in organizing digital events,
  • experience working in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro and other film editing tools,
  • experience in publishing and accessibility adaptation of photography and film for web and social channels.

It is advantageous to have:

  • experience working in the public sector.

The Position

The position is a permanent employment. The Schools Inspectorate applies a six-month probationary period.
